A Letter to My Kids and My Tribe
If you’re reading this, you’re either part of my family, my wider circle of trusted thinkers, or someone drawn to understanding how to build lasting, generational wealth with purpose.
From my other work, you will note that I see investing less about money and wealth, rather more akin to a farmer, farming and providing for their community. Farming and investing share many of the same disciplines, and with a mindset of distributing the fruits through t the community.
This series is my open letter to you—my children, and my cohort.
It’s part journal, part playbook, and part legacy.
Over the years, I’ve come to view investing not merely as a financial exercise, but as a discipline of lifelong learning. A craft. A way of seeing the world as it is—and as it could become. Each decision to buy a stock is, to me, a signal. A signal of conviction, of patience, of alignment with the future I believe in.
In the spirit of some of the best thinkers in investing, like Warren Buffett’s letters or Howard Marks’ memos, this series aims to document the “why” behind my investment choices. But unlike them, this won’t be a macroeconomic essay or a theoretical exercise in markets. It will be practical. Personal. Rooted in what I see, what I have researched, how that research has shaped my conviction, and the asymmetric opportunities I seek.
Each post will focus on one company. I’ll walk you through how it first came across my radar, what piqued my curiosity, and how I investigated it further. I’ll break down the company’s leadership, financials, and strategic posture—and explain how I believe it fits into my long-term system for building wealth that lasts. I’ll also share what could break my thesis.
This is not a recommendation service. It’s a window into my thinking. A way of sharpening my own process. And a gift to those of you—especially my children—who may one day steward what I’m building.
May this series help you not only understand the “how” of investing, but more importantly, the “why.”
