Strategic Objective
The project was undertaken to enable Lakes Evangelical Church to transition from a temporary arrangement at Berkeley Vale High School into a purpose-built ministry centre on their own land.
The objective was to deliver a multi-functional facility capable of supporting worship services, community engagement, education programs, and social activities in a modern, flexible, and welcoming environment.
The Challenge / Need
The development was located on a greenfield site with very poor ground conditions, creating significant construction and engineering challenges:
- Ground instability requiring careful consideration of foundations and civil design
- Management of bulk earthworks and infrastructure on a constrained timeline
- Delivering a diverse, multi-use facility within a fixed budget
- Coordinating programme efficiency to meet the client’s relocation requirements
These challenges required a practical and disciplined construction approach to ensure buildability and programme certainty.
